• ...rushed Franklin Street after UNC Chapel Hill won a basketball championship even though I didn't care about sports.
• ...got a BA in Philosophy.

Immediately after UNC, I went to MIT for a PhD in Philosophy. There, I...

• ...studied the difference between knowledge and understanding with Steve Yablo and Roger White.
• ...wrote a dissertation on varieties of metaphysical explanation (also called grounding explanation) with Steve Yablo (chair), Sally Haslanger, Brad Skow, and Jack Spencer.
• ...attended and presented at many philosophy conferences/gatherings.
• ...was the president of MIT's Black Graduate Student Association. (I also created their website, logo, and marketing materials!) Of this I am proud.
• ...met bae.
• ...experienced terrible weather, like the day I opened my door and had snow up to my neck. (Didn't go outside that day.)
• ...got a PhD in Philosophy. (No MA though. MIT doesn't do MAs...)
